Kiya walked into the empty dormatory. She was kind of glad she was the only one there as none of the other girls would fire questions at her about where she was from, whats it like to have such and important mother. And now about how she was going to be a preistess too.
That is what happened when she even went to the Egyptian school in Cairo, All though the war she had learnt magic and was trained to a be a preistess from home so school was a new thing for her.
She walked over to the corner bed and placed her trunk on the end. The room felt so bare compared to the ones back home, all the rooms were highly decorated weither with Hieroglyphs or with embroided wall hangings.
She sat on her bed as she unpacked, after putting her clothes and personal items away she began with the touches from home, like the bed hanging, she took down the school ones and placed a soft brown woven and embroided cloth up. Along with a photo on her cupboards of her parents and her when she was little before the war got too bad.
She also lit a tall black candle as it sat next to the photograph.

"Is that candle for luck?" Ivan asked from the doorway, making sure to stay out of the room so he wouldn't get into too much trouble. He was dressed in a pair of black silk shorts and had a silver crucifix around his neck. He had no shirt to cover himself with because he figured he was by himself until he spotted Kiya making homely adjustments to her room. "Besides, when did you switch houses, my young priestess friend?"

"Actually, it is to remember the dead. But then again there are many different types of candles in the Egyptian lifestyle." Kiya said simply with a sigh before even looking to Ivan. She didnt even make like she noticed that he was shirtless as many of the men at the temple were almost permanently half dressed.
"Well I changed houses when the Headmaster decided that three houses were enough and mine was the one to. So in turn resorted me." She said with a smile.

Once again, the young man looked around the room, careful not to step inside unless she told him to. "I have yet to meet someone who tries to change this school more than you." he told her randomly. "Everything you do opposes this school's reputation."

"Just because it has a reputation doesnt mean thats how it has to be." Kiya said simply and then looked over at him, "You can come in if you want to." She said as she took some robes out of her trunk and folded them into her cupboard.

Ivan got off the doorframe he was leaning against and walked inside, going to her trunk and help her put her things away. "Hey, why didn't your parents send you to Hogwarts or Beauxbatons? Those schools are closer." he asked.

"My parents didn't choose this place I did. And the only reason I got the chance to leave egypt is because they're dead." Kiya said as she finished putting away her things. "They died in the war." She explained simply.

Ivan sighed and his shoulders slumped a bit. Go figure he's be such a clutz and bring up so sensitive a topic. "I appologize." he said and walked over to the window so he wouldn't have to face her.

Kiya looked over to Ivan as he faced the window. Kiya had come to terms with her parents death some time ago, she never trully had a mother, she had been more of a teacher. And her father had always been exploring the temples. It was came of growing up in a temple.
She walked over to Ivan, "Its ok, they died to keep us all safe, And there is nothing to apologise for. To be honest if they hadnt died I wouldve stuck in Egypt forever, I probably still will be." She said looking out the window standing next to Ivan. She then shook her head, "Im sorry, I dont mean to sound heartless." She said walking back to her bed and put her empty trunk underneigth it as she sat down.

"Heartless?" he chuckled. "the thought never crossed my mind." He turned and leaned against the window, careful as to where he sat. "You are a very charming young lady, Kiya."

Marina stepped forward quietly, watching the older students talking. Their language sounded foreign; different and confusing. As the boy spoke, Marina caught a hint of a familiar accent. "Do you speak Russian?" she asked awkwardly, for she was still standing silently in the corner. She stepped forward and put her tiny suitcase onto her bed, next to the girl's. Apparently they were in the same house; and at least she wanted to make a friend. Trying to start a conversation, she put in, "There is another girl. Her name is Ani. Can her bed be here?" she asked, motioning to the bed beside hers. She awaited an answer patiently and opened her tiny suitcase. It was bewitched; there were far more things in it than it appeared to hold. She sighted a cabinet at the far end of the bed and pulled out a picture of her family. Her father waved back at her, smiling broadly whilst her mother scolded her brother. Marina smiled faintly. Kama was nibbling on her sister's shirt, who was sniffing a daffodil. Marina turned from the picture and continued to unpack. She took the cloth from the bed hanging into her hand and frowned. The cloth was dark purple and very stiff. She took out her wand and tapped it lightly, changing it to scenery of rolling clouds. The cloth became cotton, soft to the touch. Quietly Marina folded her undergarments into the drawers, setting them softly aside. She blinked at her dresses, the only garments she had. She stole a glance at Kiya and her clothes and modeled a dress into a medieval styled shirt such as that, and a lovely embroidered skirt. She made simliar changes to most of her clothes, and then set them away.

"Ah, well you can go ahead and try Kiya." he told the Egyptian and walked up to her, kissing her cheek chastely. "However, I have to go now before more ladies show up." He left the girls' dorm with a smirk on his face and said "The boy's dorm is unguarded. If you want to see me later you could always come by for a visit."

Marina said nothing and muttered something about being ignored.

"I heard that!" he said from the doorway and then winked at her. "Don't worry. Kiya and I are really good friends. I'll give you my attention in that manner in due time."
