Marina smiled faintly and replied, "Spasiba." Shwe turned back to unpacking, and couldn't help herself from smiling. She giggled.

Marina smiled, her cheeks burning bright red. "Cute? No. He is a charmer."
She turned to Kiya, happy to have finally met someone. "My name is Marina. It is nice to meet you, too." She took hold of Kiya's hand and shook it, a smile dawning on her face.

"So your from around here huh? Must be good." She said with a small smile. She had noticed the girl change her clothes to a different kind she had never seen before, she hadnt seen alot other then egyptian stuff before. When it came to the outside world she was clueless.
"I liked your dresses by the way, they looked nice, my robes are the ones I wear all the time." Kiya said even though she knew they were the best in Egypt due to her status but she hated people that bragged so she didnt.

Marina continued to fold clothes, and answered what Kiya said to her while she worked. "No, I am from Siberia. That is not very close to here." She was unprepared for the next comment. "You liked the dresses?" she asked, bewildered. "If you want, I can make you one," she said, turning to face Kiya.

"Really?" Kiya asked with an exicted grin. "Id make you you something too but I dont know what to offer?" Kiya said with a smile.
She sat on her bed, the silky blanket seemed to swirl around her, *I can make simple blankets that are both warm and cold even though they're silk and stuff, but nothing as intricate as as those beautiful dresses* Kiya thought to herself sadly.

"No, no, a blanket is fine," she insisted. Taking a small dress, Marina transfigured a needle and began to sew, making adjustments every few minutes. Every once in a while she pulled out some shiny gold material from her bag and sewed it on as trim. After around twenty minutes, Marina held up a white dress trimmed with golden satin. She presented it to Kiya, neatly folded.

As Marina was making the Dress Kiya pulled out her trunk and took out a rather small weaving loom. Usually it would take over a week to create a blanket with it, but thanks to how her mother had taught her it took maybe a day. She began weaving the silk together slowly leting her fingers flow over the silk, as it woven slowly into a cloth it glowed a bright blue before returning to its natural white colour.
"Oh its beautiful" Kiya said with a smile. "So quick, Unfortunately it takes a little longer to weave but I'll get it to you." Kiya said with a smile as she held the dress up to herself.

Marina sat down next to Kiya, eyes wide with amazement. "Wow! Eta kak crasivya!" she said, her eyes lingering on the loom. "I do not care how long it will take. It will be so beautiful it will be worth the wait."

Kiya saw Marina looking at the loom, "It was my mothers," She said with a smile.
"After I weave the silk it embroid and sew the peices together." Kiya explained.
"The glowing is a spell on the silk so it will be both warm and cool depending on the tempreture of the room." She said as she weaved, it was almost second nature to her now.
"By the way, what did you say? a moment ago?"

"Oh," said Marina, eyes lingering on the loom. She reached out to run her fingers over it.
Still entranced with the loom, Marina answered. "I say it was very pretty. I have never seen such a pretty thing."

Kiya smiled as Marina had run her fingers across it, she had a similer reaction when she saw it when she was younger.
"The beauty of it also comes with the fact that the beauty it can make it indescribable." Kiya said thinking of the beautiful material she could only dream of making.
"So how come you came to durmstang?"

Marina abruptly stopped stroking the shiny loom, and brushed some silky brown strands of hair from her face.
"I have ten brothers and sisters, and my mama could not take care of them all by herself. She sent me here to Durmstrang to learn magic to help out, my brother to Hogwarts and my sister to Beauxbatons. I know magic to sew and cook, and chores, but nothing else."
She sighed. "I left my goat back home. Would you like see a picture of the goat?" she asked politely.

"Sure." Kiya said simply, She didnt know what it was like to leave something so precious to her behind. "I must be good in some ways to have a big family."

Marina got up to find the picture of Kama, chatting to Kiya while she rummaged through her bag. "Oh yes. I never run out of people to play with." As she searched through, she began to hum a song about drunken rabbits. "Anam syoromno, anam syoromno, na na na na, na na na na na....."
She finally pulled out a slightly crumpled photograph. She smiled fondly at Kama before handing the photo to Kiya. She sat down next to her, looking over her shoulder. In the photo, the little goat bleated.
Tears sprung to Marina's eyes.
