Kiya went into the empty commonroom and sat on the couch and opened on of the books. She sighed after a bit and decided she wanted to be more comfortable so she layed back and tucked her legs folded sideways beside her, it was a plus to being flexable, to others it looked uncomfortable but she was used to it.
Anyone who walking into the room from the dormed would see an empty commonroom as the back of the chair was facing towards them.

Ivan walked down into the commonroom with a stretch, tried of being cooped up in his dorm by himself doing homework for the last three hours straight. As he came down the hall he sang a song he had picked up from the Christmas season at home that he suddenly remembered. As he sang it he wnet over to the largest window in the common room and watched the snow outside fall as his Baritone voice gently carried the melody about the room.
"Oh come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant O come ye O come ye to bethlehem.
Come and behold him born the king of angels Oh come let us adore him Oh come let us adore him Oh come let us adore him Christ the lord..."

Kiya heard his singing before she actually saw Ivan, " He walked over to the window and looked outside. The song was indeed strange but after awhile she knew when the same part was about to come in, and still looking like she was reading she sang along with a chrous, her high soprano voice in stark contrast to his baritone.

Ivan turned when he heard her sing, surprised that she knew a song that was so traditionally Christian, but then continued with the soft notes, eventually letting the song fade away as it ended. For some reason, the snow always reminded him of Christmas so he watched the snow again as he started the second song that came to his head.
"Oh little town of bethlehem how still we see thee lie above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth the ever lasting light the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee, tonight."

Kiya sang the chorus's with Ivan until he finished the song. She listened quietly with a smile as he continued singing, she did not really know either of these songs but the first had one part the same.

Eventually, when this song ended, Ivan turned to her and smiled. She seemed to be the angel these christmas songs always seemed to talk about. He was sure that if she stood outside in the snow, the natural powder would make a wonderful decoration to her...
"So," he said quietly. "What ya readin'?"

"Nothing much," Kiya said as Ivan spoke quietly to her. She saw his smile as felt like she could melt, "Penny for your thoughts?" She said using a phase she had heard from others.

"It is said that angels are God's hand made creations and are kept in the heavens because they are too beautiful to grace our mortal eyes with thier presence." he said quietly. "However, I have my angel sitting right infront of me. God has granted me a wonderful gift."

He raised an eyebrow. "Did I say anything about snow?" He then walked towards her, a slight limp in his step from where he badly twisted his knee earlier trying to escape the collaping Quidditch goal post. "Besides, an angel is an angel. It doesn' matter where she comes from...."

"Yes well relative deduction since its snowing," Kiya said with a smile as she put the book down and pulled herself back up into a sitting position. The bruises wern't hurting what so ever now but where they were was still not quite her normal skin colouring as she had decided to let them heal naturally.
"What happened? Why are you limping?" She asked him concerned.

When Ivan finally made it to the couch, he hevaily took a seat and said with a smirk. "Oh this? My knee was just badly twisted when I tried to escape a falling Quidditch goal post a few days ago. It's getting better. I can walk on it now."

"It was my fault this time. Right now I'm okay." he said quietly on her ear as he ran his fingers through her hair to soothe her. "I walked out under one of the goal posts that was rusted and it fell near me. I just barely managed to get out from under it in time."
