(ooc: gah! did it again >.<)
Smiling slightly, the professor conjured up two small figures, no bigger than the ones the students had received. The two figures were close together, and holding what looked like a young newborn.
"My parents - yes, both of them - were murdered before my first birthday. I was born in Germany, but started talking when I was in France. My aunt took me in, then. It was because of me that my parents were killed."
She paused, frowning slightly at the memory of finding all this out.
"You see, Kade, I am a Dark Faerie and the Dark side wished to take me from my parents as a baby, so that I could be raised on the Dark Arts and have no attachment to 'good'."
With a wave of her hand over the figures, they disappeared and she looked back up at the boy infront of her. Shiver had settled herself contently around Kade's shoulders, and judging by the rhythmic rising and falling of the snow fox's body.
"Do you know what a Dark Faerie is, Kade?"

Kade sat quietly as he listened to Tru speak of her family. He knew she must not like it from the frown that showed and he sympathised somewhat,
Kade frowned slightly thinking how the dark side had tried to take her, somehow subconciously knew that this was what the other demonics were trying to do him now, only trying to persasion rather then force for the moment.
"Um, well I have heard of Dark Faeries but I have never been able to find anything about them." Kade admitted. His resources had been limited back home when everyone hated you.

She smiles slightly.
"That is not uncommon. Dark Faeries, however, are typically a rare species. The typical appearance, as you can see and as the name suggests, is dark. Dark hair is the most common. Like mine. It changed as I got older, as did the colour of my eyes."
She paused for a moment.
"And as you've seen already, I have the ability to conjure things up. Only in black, though. And I can shapeshift into animals - my favourite being the fox."

Kade nodded slowly as he heard Tru describe her kind, "Well how did they know, if you looked normal then how?" Kade asked slowly.
"And can anyone be a dark faerie or is it a family kind of thing?"

"If by 'they' you mean the Dark Side, then I do not know the exact reason. Though I believe that they had a sort of system that alerted them when a Dark creature was born. I've heard rumours about a prophecy stating my birth, but have yet to see it. Or hear it."
She perched herself on top of a desk, leaning back on her hands and setting her feet on the seat in front of her.
"As for whether or not it's a genetic thing, no. There has been one other Dark Faerie in my family, and that was over 1500 years ago. However, it is only a female thing. All reported cases were female."
The professor stopped talking, watching as Shiver woke up and moved, returning to sleep on Kade's shoes.

As Shiver moved a small furry almost snake like creature crawled out of Kade's back next to his desk. The small pipe fox stared at the snow fox as it slept.
"Um forgive me for asking this, but have you ever felt a... a pull to the dark side?" Kade asked hesitantly

She thought for a moment, taking a deep breath before she answered his question.
"Yes. In my later years of schooling I started to seriously reconsider my side in the war. The Dark side had contacted me again - twice, actually. I had secluded myself once more from the other students while I tried to figure out what side I was on. Because of my uncertainty in that, I lost someone special."
Pausing momentarily as she saw River sneak into the room, she gave a small smile to the dog and beckoned him over.
"It is natural for everyone to feel a pull to the dark side, especially if you were born to be there already. But in the end, it is your choice which side you're on. It's all up to you, because you decide your own fate. You create the path you want to follow, instead of following one that's already been created."

*especially when they call to you constantly* Kade thought to himself bitterly. He tried to push that part of him away, but everytime he slept it kept raging back.
"I guess everyone has thier own torment." Kade said softly.

The Dark Faerie looked at Kade sympathetically and stood up, moving forward a little and resting her hand on his shoulder.
"Yes, they do. But look how I turned out: I was born to be evil, yet I'm not. I was barely a people person in school, and now I'm teacher. As I said before, you decide your own fate."

Kade looked to Tru in almost surprise as she layed a hand on his shoulder, "I guess so," he said simply, his surprised came from the fact that someone other then Sam cared. She had probably figured out he was part something but probably not what.

She nodded, then knelt down and picked Shiver up.
"You can have the rest of the day off classes, if you wish. I shouldn't have held you up for so long, but I'm sure this has proved helpful in some way."
Then she smiled.
"And now you know more about me even than the Headmaster and the other teachers. I trust you won't use this information against me."
The professor then conjured up a small black book which she handed to him.
"Here. You can use this to write down things you might not want to talk about it. Like a journal, or a diary."

Kade nodded silently not knowing what to say, he would certainly never use the information she had entrusted him with against her in any way. He would rather die then betray a trust.
He took the book gently and placed it on the desk as she left, after a moment Randy, the small pipe fox bound onto the desk and looked from Kade to the book and the nudged it gently, "I know Sam told me I should keep one, guess this means he was right huh?" Kade said with a slight smile as he fox wraped around his shoulders as Kade picked up his bag and put the small black book in it as he left.
